What is the Lighthouse About

Lighthouse is an IDO launchpad with a focus on DeFi gaming and usability for game developers. On lighthouse, you can find new, interesting gaming projects that you can support through funding, which in turn will generate rewards and profit for your effort.

This will make new projects have the funding they need to release new games that will be unique with their own token, backed by the Crowns token.

What is an IDO

Initial Dex Offerings otherwise and simply referred to as IDOs, are tokens that represent any type of digital asset on a decentralized exchange (DEX). An IDO is when a project or network launches a token through a decentralized liquidity exchange. IDOs can be created for various reasons and purposes mainly from cryptocurrencies.

How does it work?

Contrasting with initial coin offerings (ICOs), where the project team members collect the pool assets, an IDO model allows that the fundraising will be conducted on an exchange’s platform. This model allows crypto startups to raise money through built-in liquidity pools without depending on intermediaries.

Step 1

To participate, users are to interact on the Seascape ecosystem. These include owning varying amounts of Crowns, the universal token of Seascape Network, owning various Scape NFTs, playing different games, among other requirements. These interactions with the ecosystem allow the user to familiarize and benefit from the play-to-earn model of gaming.

To own crowns, users can purchase on various DEXES including UniSwap (v2), UniSwap (v3), Gate.io, MXC, Pancake swap, Kucoin, Bilax, AscendEX (BitMax), etc. or by playing Seascape’s first DeFi game Profit Circus.

Profit Circus is a game in which users can stake their LP tokens to earn Seascape’s native token, Crowns, proportionate to the amount staked over the period.

Step 2

Once you’ve secured everything in step 1 here is what is next. Users will be assigned to tiers. There are three tiers ranging from tiers 0–3. These tiers categorize users and the amount they will be able to allocate in the first round of the project funding pools.

Only Tiers 1–3 will be able to participate in this round. In this round, randomly selected individuals can allot higher amounts toward the projects of their choice. These amounts will vary with projects. As such, it is advised and necessary that users check with the projects of interest often.

Step 3

For those who do not make it to the allocation round, there is a secondary auction pool in which players who did not donate a random allotment can still enjoy a chance at the action. For players at various Tiers levels, their entry into the auction will be determined by whether or not they were successful at the allocation round. For instance, players who are eligible for Tier 3 and do not make it will enter the lottery for Tier 2.

If they are unsuccessful, they will enter Tier 1. And only if they are unsuccessful this time, will they become eligible for the allocation round. The same nested process is true for Tier 2 and Tier 1 applicants.

The Lighthouse auction pool is unique in that all interested and qualified parties will have the opportunity to fund the project to whatever extent is available to them. The possibilities are endless!

When the game is released, users who participated in either the initial project funding pool or auction pool will receive Allocation NFTs for the amount they donated. These can be redeemed in the token of the gaming project, redeemed for Crowns, used on the open market, or used toward the first round of funding for a new project.
